What's included in move-out cleaning?

Move-out cleaning is a considerably more thorough clean than regular home cleaning – the home needs to be left in a condition ready for the next resident and able to pass an inspection. Here we go through what's included and what sets move-out cleaning apart from everyday cleaning.

The difference from regular cleaning

In a move-out clean, the whole home is cleaned, not just the visible surfaces: cabinets and drawers are cleaned on the inside, appliances are pulled out and cleaned behind and underneath, and surfaces rarely cleaned day to day – skirting boards, radiators, door frames and ventilation vents – are wiped down.

What's included in the move-out clean

  • Window cleaning – the windows are cleaned as part of the move-out clean.
  • Kitchen: cabinets and drawers inside and out, appliances inside and out, hob, extractor fan and sink.
  • Bathroom: descaling tiles and taps, cleaning the toilet, shower or bathtub, and the floor drain.
  • All rooms: floors, skirting boards, radiators, doors, door frames and wardrobes inside and out.

Satisfaction guarantee ahead of the inspection

The move-out clean needs to be approved by the landlord, housing cooperative or buyer. That's why we offer a satisfaction guarantee: if anything is flagged at the inspection, we'll put it right. You can hand over the keys with peace of mind.

The RUT deduction applies to move-out cleaning too

Move-out cleaning qualifies for the RUT deduction just like home cleaning – you pay half the labour cost and we handle the reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). The deduction is applied straight away on the price when you book.
