The price of home cleaning depends on your home and how often you want help – but the principles are simple. Here we go through what affects the price, how the RUT deduction works, and show a worked example, so you know what to expect before you book.
In practice, three factors determine what your home cleaning costs:
Home cleaning qualifies for the RUT deduction: you only pay 50% of the labour cost, up to SEK 75,000 per person per year. You don't need to do anything yourself – we apply the deduction directly to the price and report it to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) for you. Our RUT page explains the rules in detail.
Say a home clean of your home costs SEK 1,200 in labour cost. With the RUT deduction, you pay SEK 600. If you book cleaning every other week, that's 26 visits a year – roughly SEK 15,600 a year after the RUT deduction for a home that's always clean.
The fastest way to get an exact price for your home is the square-metre calculator on our homepage, or to start a booking in the app – where you see the price straight away, with the RUT deduction already applied, before you confirm anything.
