What does home cleaning cost in Stockholm?

The price of home cleaning depends on your home and how often you want help – but the principles are simple. Here we go through what affects the price, how the RUT deduction works, and show a worked example, so you know what to expect before you book.

What drives the price of home cleaning

In practice, three factors determine what your home cleaning costs:

  • The size of your home – more square metres and more rooms take longer to clean.
  • How often we come – recurring cleaning every week or every other week gives a lower price per visit than one-off bookings.
  • Add-ons – for example oven cleaning, fridge cleaning or ironing are added when needed and affect the price for that visit.

The RUT deduction halves the labour cost

Home cleaning qualifies for the RUT deduction: you only pay 50% of the labour cost, up to SEK 75,000 per person per year. You don't need to do anything yourself – we apply the deduction directly to the price and report it to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) for you. Our RUT page explains the rules in detail.

Worked example: what it costs in practice

Say a home clean of your home costs SEK 1,200 in labour cost. With the RUT deduction, you pay SEK 600. If you book cleaning every other week, that's 26 visits a year – roughly SEK 15,600 a year after the RUT deduction for a home that's always clean.

How to get your exact price

The fastest way to get an exact price for your home is the square-metre calculator on our homepage, or to start a booking in the app – where you see the price straight away, with the RUT deduction already applied, before you confirm anything.
